 Recent Downtime

My apologies, ladies and gents. We just recovered from a couple of hours of downtime today, which was hugely unexpected. It was a minor incident (it was tiny, in fact... disappearingly so), but it took some time to track the precise issue down, which is why we were down so long. The entire thing has been logged, I am now watchful for this kind of bug. Hopefully, incidents of this type will not happen again! ... but if they do, antidotes are now in plentiful stock. Thanks for your patience.  |

Promotions Galore

As some of you may have noticed, the ranks of our Realm Representatives have dwindled in recent times, especially with Ganek's promotion to Realm Guardian earlier this year. But have no fear, today it is my pleasure to introduce not one, not two, but three new Realm Representatives!!! Our first new Realm Representative has proudly lead her Guild through thick and thin, and is an ever friendly presence for new members and old timers alike. Help me congratulate Luna Mara, who has already helped us to launch the new Kingmaker plot line. Joining Luna in receiving a brand new set of And last, but certainly not least, this winged warrior has had his eye on this office since Ganek's promotion, and we all know that nothing beats a good old "Shotgun" to claim what is rightfully yours. So along with Luna and Darius, we'll be adding Kaze to the ranks of new Realm Representatives. Be sure to congratulate these three members on their promotions, and take a look at some of our other recent announcements to find ways to take advantage of the new plots they will be helping the Realm Council bring your way. |

Our Ever Changing World

Hello again my pretties. Of course, to those of you new to the site and thus don't know me; I bid you welcome and good day in our fair realm. You may recall that in my previous announcement I forewarned you that changes would be coming to Hidden Realms, new events beginning, current ones continuing and of course; old favourites returning. This announcement is to tell you, those events have been set in motion my friends, now it is your turn to act. First on the agenda is the matter of the Kingmaker saga. Last Harvestgain the King departed from the throne in the Andúnë capitol; heading westwards as he does yearly as a tradition of celebration. Strangely he is only just returning after nearly a year in self-induced exile. Yet he returns with gifts, some of which we have yet to discover. Secondly, we find that the 'Need a Thread?' system has returned. For those of you whom don't remember NAT, it was a system to allow new members to easily jump into fast flowing threads that held some significance within changes to the realm. It was a means of allowing people to easily join threads without needing any prior experience and accounting for all types of character. Definitely something worth looking into, new or old. Lastly, for those with a more humorous heart we brought back something that some of you may remember. The Hidden Realms Achievements. You'll notice some revamps of all the images as well as new features in the system, let alone a whole new expansion set based off the original contributions from you players. We've also introduced event based achievements available for a limited time. The first of which is based off the Kingmaker thread above.
.:Special Note:. All of the above threads are staff run quests that count as special events. As such, you may be in as many normal IC threads as permitted by the MCS and multi-threading rules, and as many special event threads as you please. New Events - Get yourself involved

Well, well, well; hello again. Of course, to those of you new to the site and don't know me. I bid you welcome and good day. I know you're all probably expecting some grim fatale, what with an announcement being made by me of all people. A little harsh on the precursor there don't you think? I've actually come to highlight your attention to a lot of nice things. Things that may have passed you by, events you may have been waiting for the opportune moment before interacting with. I'm here to tell you friends, that moment is now. First on the agenda is the matter of the tournament champion. If you failed to catch wind of the celebrations already, last years Wintersebb tournament came to a spectacular close and Shroth Ack’hin was deemed the winner. Congratulations go out from the staff to all those who participated for a strong felt effort and commendable spirit in the face of competition. Secondly, has anyone noticed the fish lately? I know that when visiting Narim, the waters aren't what one generally tends to keep looking at; or worrying about for that matter. But given the recent upheaval in the area, it might be worth your time just to make a tourist stop in passing, they are very pretty after all. It's just a shame the scholars won't let us get closer to that city, eh? Finally, the King is coming home? I hadn't known he'd been away for so long to be honest. Gordrick has reported more intimately on the matter, it's more his thing after all. But what with beloved Queen Livana having died three years ago, Gathodel the tyrant having been overthrown and many public occasions having been put on hold due to the turmoil of the past few years; it was about time the royalty gave out a public face with a warm message. Feel free to check out any of the above, for those of you unsure where to sink your teeth in first I would advise the following. If you're a relative new comer, it would be a good idea to look into the tournament to see what some of your fellow writers are like and see if there's anyone you might like to roleplay with. Similarly if you haven't yet made a character it might be a good idea to see how previous creations have played out. If you're more interested by world events and seeing how the lands are changing, check out the herald articles and make some of it your own by visiting the areas listed. You can always ask a member of staff if you're uncertain what to include in your thread or if there's any ideas you'd like to try out. Lastly the King's appearance when it goes public will be a special thread, meaning you can post in it regardless of how many threads you have at the time. As always these special threads are special for a reason and so it might be worth sticking your head in just to see what's going on. That's all from me for now, ~Sincerely, The White Terror |

New changes

Dearest Denizens of Hidden Realms. I would announce a couple of changes. Kane will now be operating as a well needed GK, and Ganek will now be chiefly involved in Realm Development. I hope you will welcome them and request their opinions when needed. I should also add, Realm Development is going to open soon, and about time too. So please have your ideas ready. Davin |
